Residential Real Estate
As an Associate Attorney with the firm, Marissa A. Rosati focuses her practice on all facets of residential real estate. Prior to joining Scafidi Law, Marissa graduated from Stonehill College with a bachelor’s degree in criminology. Immediately after college, she attended New England Law | Boston where she received her Juris Doctor Degree. Since graduating, Marissa has exclusively worked in real estate law. By concentrating on this specific area, she has gained extensive experience handling closings for single-family residences, multi-family dwellings, investment properties, and condominiums. From negotiating contracts to tackling closing obstacles, Marissa prides herself in her ability to ensure that the legal transfer of property is a smooth and streamlined process for her clients.
Currently, Marissa is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As an “attorney state,” the Commonwealth’s law requires attorneys to be involved in most real estate transactions. However, Marissa is confident in her unique ability to provide her clients with the confidence that their interests are being protected legally, ethically, and professionally. Real estate is often the largest asset for many people, and Marissa recognizes the importance of having someone trustworthy and competent in your corner to assist in handling such a crucial transaction.
Marissa was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star and continues to grow her practice by being an active member in Boston’s networking scene and beyond. Growing up in the North End of Boston and currently living in South Boston, Marissa is no stranger to the city. However, in her free time she enjoys flying to visit her parents in Florida and driving to see her niece and nephews in New Hampshire. Outside of working at Scafidi Law, Marissa also enjoys spending time with her friends, exercising, and watching Seinfeld.
What is a charity that you feel passionate about?
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. No child should ever have to struggle with cancer or any other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude aims to alleviate the financial burden of the families going through this difficult time while also conducting research towards a cure. I am personally involved with St. Jude and volunteer as a committee member for the annual Toast to St. Jude Gala in Boston.
What is the most important thing you have learned in the last 5 years?
I’ve learned that how you handle mistakes shapes the trajectory of your career. Instead of being hard on yourself, you need to use the mistakes as a learning tool to enhance your business.
